Over the last several years, Seattle native John Sarkis has explored many styles and approaches in an effort to discover his voice as an artist. His newest paintings are a clash between his iconic, unorthodox applications and the wonder of his visual expressions. Sarkis entertains modern presentation with traditional palettes exclusive to the surrounding Pacific Northwestern location. Using familiarity as a foundation for his narrative Sarkis criticizes local landscapes’ endless change as a means to an end. Sarkis’ mixed-media paintings explore the idea of a constant collaboration between his opinions and his aesthetic colliding to form a new life of their own.
March 5th, 2026, artist John Sarkis brings us "Gestures" a new body of work involving collage, portraiture, and multimedia wall installations touching on everything from horror to sports.
